Nashville, Tennessee (WTVF) — In “The Single Capital of the World,” one group stood out from the other.

“They told us we were going on a girl’s trip to Nashville, but they didn’t give us any information, so this is all a surprise to us,” Chesterin said. Goodlow said. “I can still do what I used to do when I was young. I can’t do that much, but I enjoy it.”

Sisters Chesterin and Edna have great reasons to celebrate. They are 90 and 94 years old, respectively.

“Life is about having fun. Enjoy as much as you can. As I get older, I tend to understand it better,” Chesterin said.

Their girl’s journey is called the “Road to 90 and 94”.

“Every year I try to do a little thing for my mom and so on. After that, when Aunt Chess turned 90, she started on the road to 94 events. Aunt Chess is on the road with us. Said Margaret Steele, the daughter of Edna, who hosted the event.

On Saturday, the road led them downstream of Broadway.

“My mother lived here many years ago and my aunt Chess visited here many years ago, so we wanted to take them to Nashville.

The two sisters are the last of nine brothers born and raised in Savannah, Tennessee.

“I go wherever she goes,” Chesterin said. “We meet each other every day,” Edna added.

Their crowded girls’ trips included downtime for bars, tours and massages.

“No matter how old you are, jump out there and do what you want to do,” Steele said.

The sisters believe that age is just a number, and they prove it.

“Enjoy as much as you can. It’s a journey,” said Chesterin. “Continue as long as you can avoid it,” Edna said.
