Washington (AP / KDKA) — A Senate investigation into the rebellion at the US Capitol on January 6 revealed that government, military, and law enforcement agencies had made widespread mistakes prior to the attack.
A bipartisan review revealed the collapse within multiple intelligence agencies and the lack of training and preparation for Capitol police officers who were quickly overwhelmed by mobs.
Numerous Pennsylvanians, as well as people in the Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania regions, have been arrested and charged with attacks on the Houses of Parliament.
The Senate report released on Tuesday is the first bipartisan view of the riot.

In response to the report released, Capitol police said in a statement, “The FBI, the US Secret Service, the Metropolitan Police, or other law enforcement partners also plan to attack the US Capitol with thousands of mobs. I knew what I was doing. Known intelligence simply did not support that conclusion. “
The report does not delve into the root cause of the attack, including the role played by former President Donald Trump.
