UHCCF hosts Annual Teddy Bear run in the valley – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas (KLAS) – Residents wore running shoes on Saturday morning to participate in the United Healthcare Children’s Foundation’s 11th Annual Teddy Bear 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk.

Income from events that benefit UHCCF to provide medical grants to children to support payments for treatments, services, or equipment that are not covered or fully covered by the family’s commercial insurance plan

Josie Hatem, the mother of a UHCCF grant recipient, said:

The family-friendly route crossed the neighborhood around Angel Park and returned to Trivori Village. After crossing the finish line, participants were presented with a “swag bag” containing medals, T-shirts and donated items.

There were 317 participants in this year’s race.

“It was wonderful to see the smiles of everyone who participated on the 11th this morning.NS “The annual teddy bear run,” said Kathi Toliver, director of provider services at Health Plan, Nevada, a United Healthcare company.

“Every year, we host this event to raise money for the UHC CF, because the last thing a family wants to think about when a child gets sick is how to care for it. Thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s event special and support this incredible cause. We look forward to seeing you again next year. I am! “

After the race, participants and their families enjoyed fun activities on the premises.
