Tucson, Arizona (KGUN) — A group of high school students gathered to fulfill their wishes for patients receiving hospice care.
The Hospice Dreamcatcher College High School branch has granted three wishes to Royce in Hospice at Devon Gables.
Her dream was to look out the window and see the beautiful colors, so the students painted the walls of her patio.
She also loves elderberry pies, so she ordered a pie from outside the state.
Lois’s greatest wish was something they couldn’t give, and the students found a workaround. She always wanted an orange tab, so the students got a lively cat that responded to her contact. She was surprised and absolutely loved it and named the cat Tim.
Christine Jung, founder of the UHS Hospice Dreamcatcher Chapter, said, “It’s very moving. When we dream, they don’t talk much or they don’t see us much. But with dreams Throughout the event you can see them come alive, and in the end they are very lively and vibrant. “
Hospice DreamCatchers is a national organization where you can start a branch at any high school.
