Wichita, Kansas (KSNW) – Wichita residents can be tested for COVID-19 this morning, regardless of whether they have symptoms. The Sedgwick County Health Department and the United Way of the Planes have worked together to provide this asymptomatic test.
The event starts at 9am and ends at 12pm.
Results will be back in about 4 days. The criteria for qualifying for a test slot are simple. All you have to do is be a resident of Sedgwick County.
Mark Stamp, United’s Service Director, said: “They don’t have to have symptoms. Plain roads.
If you couldn’t make an appointment for an asymptomatic test this morning, you have other options. People can make appointments with nonprofits or counties for inspection. The only drawback of it is that people have to show symptoms of COVID-19.
The health department has not specified when to set up another asymptomatic testing site, but says it plans to set up more in the future.
“We want to provide a general community that can provide it to the preferred population and may still be concerned if there are still slots left, if they are exposed, or if they just want to know for sure. I think, “said Adrian Burn. Director of Health, Sedgwick County.
If you have any questions about how or where to book, please call United Way of the Planes 2-1-1.
