Colorado Springs, Colorado – David Meyer, an assistant soccer coach at the University of Colorado for the Colorado Springs Men’s Soccer Team, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and booked at the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

Victims of adult women reported that a male acquaintance she met at a party sexually assaulted her in 2015. As a result of the investigation, Meyer was arrested.

Meyer is not only an assistant soccer coach for the Colorado Springs Men’s Soccer Team at the University of Colorado, but also a full-time soccer coach for the Colorado Springs Pride Soccer Club.

At the time of the reported assault, Meyer was not an employee of the Pride Football Club or UCSS.

The University of Colorado in Colorado Springs said it could not provide comments on unresolved police cases. However, the university admits that Meyer is a school volunteer.

Colorado Springs police are continuing to investigate the case.
