Miami (WJW) —Following a law signed by the Governor of Florida banning companies in the state from creating COVID-19 vaccine requirements — Docking cruise ship — The Royal Caribbean Cruises has announced plans that are a bit more difficult for adults who are not fully vaccinated.

When the company’s ship officially departs from Miami sometime in July, those who are not fully vaccinated should take it. It is highly recommended that all guests 16 years and older be fully vaccinated on their Freedom of Seas® voyage departing from Miami, Florida in July 2021. The final dose of vaccine must be completed at least 14 days before departure to be considered fully vaccinated.

At check-in, you will be asked to submit vaccination documents such as the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card. People over the age of 16 who do not have or are unable to provide the documents are considered unvaccinated.

Unvaccinated customers are required to undergo an additional COVID-19 test at their own expense and follow the health protocol described below based on CDC guidance.

If you do not want to take additional tests, pay a fee, or adhere to these health and safety protocols, we will provide you with a refund. We believe that within the next few months, restrictions and requirements will be more relaxed as public health conditions develop.
