San Diego (AP) — Snow leopards at the San Diego Zoo coronavirus..
According to the zoo, caretakers noticed that a 9-year-old male snow leopard, Ramil, had a cough and runny nose on Thursday.
Two separate tests confirmed the presence of the coronavirus.
It is unknown how the snow leopard was infected.
In January, an army of eight gorillas at the zoo’s sister facility, the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, was infected with COVID-19 by a zookeeper who was infected with the virus but showed no symptoms.
