Herbalist Nick Nowachik began herbal tea with the mission of bridging the gap between urban society and herbalist health. After selling flavorful and antioxidant-rich herbal tea blends (also known as Tizan) online at farmers markets, local retailers, he now has a physical store at 3060 S. 13th St.

The new space for Arbal Tea is located in the building where the Rex Lounge nightclub used to be. This nightclub was closed about 5 years ago and has been empty ever since.

Opening in July, Urbal Tea’s more than 3,000 square feet space includes a tea shop and a fronthouse tea bar serving coffee, espresso and other local products, as well as hot and ice herbal teas. .. The back manufacturing space allows Nowaczyk and his employees to produce herbal tea blends under all one roof. Customers can find large quantities of traditional tea as well as custom in-house herbal blends. Nowaczyk has invested in a tea bag machine that can add environmentally friendly plant-based tea bag options in addition to loose-leaf herbal varieties. The workspace has a window where coffee shop customers can directly check the operation.

A bakery is available and dishes paired with tea or coffee will soon be cooked on site. Nowaczyk recently purchased a ventless convection oven. Look for sandwiches, seasonal soups and salads, breakfast burritos and quesadillas. “We serve communities that are the crucibles of different groups. We have a strong Hispanic community here and we will continue to work with and work with local Hispanic organizations,” he says.

New space enables creativity, tea education

Nowaczyk promotes arbal tea as the foundation of a healthy life. “Herbs are about bringing herbal health to urban society,” he says. “I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel, I’m trying to establish a healthy life.” Arbal Tea Blend is made from natural dried herbs such as dandelion root, peppermint, and lavender, not tea leaves.
