US Daily Covid Case exceeds 100K mark on 10th of this month

Driven by highly contagious subvariants of Omicron in parts of the country, daily Covid cases in the United States exceeded 100,000 horrific on the 10th of this month.

110,870 new cases were reported on Tuesday, increasing the total number of people infected with killer bugs in the country to 83,509,503.

According to the latest data from Johns Hopkins University, the total number of Covid casualties in the United States reached 1,002,754 after reporting 353 additional Covid deaths.

Positive cases tended to be at the highest levels seen since late November.

According to the latest New York Times tally, the United States averages 108,082 cases per day, up 40% from two weeks ago. All other Covid indicators in the United States are also on the rise.

The country has an average of 25,383 hospitalizations per day for viral illness, an increase of 30 percent from two weeks ago.

Of these, 2,704 patients were admitted to the intensive care unit, with a 25% increase in ICU admissions over the same period.

To date, 81,764,911 people have recovered from the disease, according to Worldometer statistics.

To date, 221,001,614 Americans, or 66.6% of the eligible population, have been given both doses of the Covid vaccine, according to the latest data released by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This includes 90.9 percent of people over the age of 65.

46.6 percent of the eligible population, or 102,912,618, receive boosted immunization recommended to provide additional protection from the killer virus.

An additional 1,757 deaths were reported worldwide on Tuesday, bringing the total number of people killed by pandemics to date to 6,280,794.
