Police said on Friday that the bodies of a young nephew and niece were arrested in the trunk of a car after making an eerie discovery while regular transportation was stopped.
Nicole Johnson, from a city on the east coast of Baltimore, faces multiple accusations, including child abuse that resulted in the deaths of a 7-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy.
According to The Baltimore Sun, the 33-year-old stuffed her niece’s body in a suitcase and put it in the trunk until May last year, and continued to use the car as usual.
A year later, the paper reported that she placed the boy’s body next to his disassembled sister and wrapped it in a plastic bag.
Police stopped her for speeding on Wednesday and decided to seize the car when it became clear that she did not have the correct documents.
According to the newspaper, one officer told Johnson that the vehicle was towed, and she replied, “It doesn’t matter, I’ll be out here within five days.”
She quoted a police report and added, “Everyone will meet me in the news of my big debut.”
According to her, her two children were taken care of by her sister in 2019.
Johnson admitted during the interrogation that she had hit her niece several times, Sun said. She didn’t explain how the boy died.
