Virginia Beach, Virginia (WAVY) —The Virginia Beach History Conservation Commission will host a virtual public conference on Tuesday night to provide information about the community updating its strategic plans for the city’s historic conservation program.

Strategic planning provides guidance on managing the collective historic assets of committees, planning and community development departments, and communities.

Virginia Beach recently updated its city-wide architectural survey and archaeological assessment to document and identify historic sites. It also sponsors the successful recommendation of historic districts to the National Register of Historic Places.

The public conference provides the community with the opportunity to comment on the direction of the updated historic conservation plan, address specific concerns and ask questions. Online surveys will be available for additional public opinion and answers within a few weeks, based on discussions and questions from the conference.

The meeting will start at 6:30 pm. Click here to sign up for a virtual meeting. Link.
