Vaccinations begin for veterans 65+ at North Las Vegas VA Medical Center – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas, Nevada 2021-02-21 20:26:51 –

North Las Vegas (KLAS) — VA of the Southern Nevada Healthcare System began distributing the COVID-19 vaccine to veterans aged 65 and over on Sunday.

Vaccine distribution began on Sunday at 7 am and ended at around 5:30 pm at the North Las Vegas VA Medical Center.

The first dose of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine was distributed to the first 1,000 people enrolled before the event. This was especially for veterans aged 65 and over who were enrolled in the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System.

Other places, such as Cashman Center and Desert Pines High School, last week offered first doses to people over the age of 65. Both provided services to the person who booked and provided a way to bring them in.

“I’m really a little happy. He later made a reservation and sent me a message that he was walking in until 3:30,” Ronald Pale told 8 News Now on Sunday afternoon.

Qualified veterans can schedule at a later date if they run out of doses on Sunday.

This is only for those who need the first dose, as no second dose is offered here.
