Runners will compete last in September

Virginia Beach, Virginia (WAVY) — Authorities announced on Friday that the Rock’n’Roll running series will end in Virginia Beach in 20 years.

“Such a decision is never easy,” the organizer said on Facebook. “Especially after years of great years in a special place like Virginia Beach.”

The event will be held again at the end of this year, Labor day weekendAllows runners to participate in 1 mile running, 5k and half marathons. Those who are interested in participating are accepting registration.

“We are committed to hosting a great event in 2021 for everyone celebrating this final chapter of the rock and roll running series,” they added.

5k starts at 7am on September 4th and runs 1 mile at 8:15 am. The half marathon will start the next day, September 5th, at 6:30 am.
