After leaving his parents in the Delta check-in area, the boy on the device was not injured.
The video was acquired by Minnesota Public Radio.
Airport spokesman Pat Hogan said the incident happened early Saturday afternoon. A group of about 20 people were checking the bags to travel with them.
According to Minnesota Public Radio News, Hogan initially said no group noticed that the boy was missing.
“There was a lot of confusion because there were so many people in the group,” he said. “They all checked their bags and put them on the conveyor, so it took a second to notice that he was missing, but when they took action Immediately, the police were able to find him immediately. “
Police found the boy in less than five minutes.
According to Hogan, the incident will lead to a review of baggage system security measures and see if more needs to be done to prevent a recurrence.
