Comedian Chris Rock wasn’t shy about his love for the city of the river.

Fanny Man and apparent Cardinals superfan Chris Rock played two shows at the Stiffel Theater on June 11th and 12th last weekend, expressing their love for St. Louis at Busch Stadium. I watched the game.

Rock has had his first night since embarking on an egodes world tour in a match on Monday. While wearing a blue Cardinals baseball cap, I watched the card defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates. At the top of the five innings, Barry Sports Midwest on-air talent Jim Hayes chatted with Rock. Meanwhile, comedians shared their love for the city.

“You just played St. Louis. What do you think about our city?” Hayes asked during a video exchange.

“I love St. Louis,” Rock replied. Whenever I’m in town, I watch Cardinals games. “

Rock, whose father is believed to have been a big fan of Bob Gibson’s pitching, confirms his enthusiasm by examining his list of favorite players.

“I got Ozzie Smith, Gibson, and Willy McGee,” Rock rattled. “Al Laboski-wasn’t Al Laboski a Cardinal?”

“We are working with Al,” Hayes said. “Crazy Hungarian!”

“Mad Hungarian is one of my favorite players,” Rock replied.

With all the praise he clearly feels for the city of St. Louis and its baseball legend, is it safe to assume that Rock may eventually take root here? It may be a long shot, but he didn’t count it.

“When I’m a free agent, I definitely see St. Louis Cardinals as my next destination,” he tells Hayes with a smile.
