Tucson, Arizona (KGUN) —The US Border Guard released a video of recent rescue efforts in the mountains of southern Arizona this week.

In a video news release posted by Interim Chief John Modlin of the Tucson sector, agents found a 26-year-old Guatemalan woman in the mountains who was severely dehydrated and had an ankle fracture. The video shows a Border Patrol Search, Trauma Andrescue (BORSTAR) agent watering her and treating her injuries before safely airlifting her.

“The #teamwork between the #BorderPatrol agent and our #lawenforcement partner probably saved the woman’s life,” Modlin said in a tweet.

KGUN 9 contacted the border guard to find out what happened to the woman after the rescue operation. This story will be updated with those details.
