According to police, a 73-year-old Vietnamese veteran from Massachusetts was assaulted while supporting President Donald Trump in Douglas.

Douglas Chiara Dudley, 34, was arrested and charged with assaulting and assaulting an elderly person injured after the incident.

Douglas police received several 911 calls at the intersection of Main Street and Webster Street around noon on Saturday.

According to police, the Douglas couple, including veterans, were at a crossroads advertising Trump with flags and signs for about 30 minutes when Dudley, who opposes the president’s support, approached.

According to police, Dudley began beating the couple with insults and demanded that they leave. When the couple tried to leave, police claimed that Dudley kept chasing them before hitting the man with her body.

Dudley was subsequently arrested and released on bail of $ 250. She will be arraigned by the Axbridge District Court on Monday. It is unknown if she has a lawyer.
