NS. St. Louis, Missouri (KMOV.com)-My loved ones were in Dellwood Wednesday night at a 13-year-old Neva Esmolwood rally. Her 15-year-old boyfriend has been accused of shooting her on Tuesday.
At 3:50 pm, police officers were called to Block 10200 of the Linkrest Court to report the person being shot. When they arrived, Smallwood was found dead. Just a day later, instead of preparing to send Smallwood back to school, they are preparing for her funeral.
A teenager died after being shot in northern St. Louis County on Tuesday afternoon.
“I’m really sick of it. It’s really going home and I’m devastated,” said Princess Portis, Smallwood’s aunt. “I really want these young men and women to drop their guns. They mean it’s not good for us. If you’re not looking for food, we need them. No. If you don’t protect yourself, we don’t need them. We need them. “
Smallwood’s boyfriend has been detained, but police have not identified him at this time.
