Virgin Galactic delays commercial space travel services – Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky

Virgin Galactic does not plan to send paid customers to space until the last quarter of 2022.

“Recent material testing has returned new data that needs further analysis,” the company said in a statement.

CNN report The company had planned to launch commercial space flight in the third quarter of 2022.

Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Galactic, managed to reach the VSS Unity space in July.

According to the company, VSS Unity and VMSEve will receive enhancements and changes before the next test flight.

“The enhancement program is designed to further increase margins, enabling increased reliability, durability and reduced maintenance requirements in commercial services,” the company said.

The test flight will include two members of the Italian Air Force, an aerospace engineer and a Virgin Galactic employee. Bloomberg reported.
