Virginia Beach, Virginia (WAVY) — A series of Virginia Beach robbers were recently caught by a camera that broke into a car or home while a family member was sleeping inside.

Police believe the man was involved in several burglaries in and around the North End and Great Neck areas between July and September of this year. Another incident that happened this week is probably related.

In a video recorded this week, you can see a man passing through Heather Williams’ belongings in her car in the Eagles Nest community near Indian River and Westneck Road.

“He’s looking at my hard drive, unzip it and take it out of my case. Look at the Starbucks gift card, look at the school hall pass, and put the bag back in the car,” Williams said at Facetime. I told 10 On Your Side in a video chat. ..

The man who ended up in the car entered the house through the unlocked garage door. Before going inside, he looks directly at the security camera in the house.

“He faced it … he was in our house while we were sleeping with one of the kids at home. He got out of our house with my husband’s purse. Come on and he’s gone, “Williams added.

Williams says they have never heard of the man in their home.

Williams said it took some time to realize that the man was at home.

“My husband always keeps his wallet and keys in the kitchen counter basket. Thursday morning he was looking for his wallet. He was looking everywhere. He worked to find it. And then I wondered if someone stole it from my house. Then he went back to the security video and found the suspect in the video, when we knew. ” She remembered.

The thoughts of strangers in the house when they were asleep made Williams uneasy.

“It was definitely anxious. I didn’t sleep well last night,” she said.

Neighbors on the North End responded similarly.

“I feel chills. I’m just watching them a video right now,” said a neighbor who asked them not to reveal their identities.

She was watching the suspect’s video on the 49thNS The street found a way into the backyard in July.

“What was very scary to me was that there were a lot of lights on. They were shining all the light on the backyard and he wasn’t coming from the alley, but from the street … very much. It’s bold, “she said.

The suspect was also picked up by a camera at a house near the Rudy Strait.

Out to 49NS Street, 10 on your side found resident Val Parnell.

“I think we need to catch him. Everyone needs to be vigilant. I think it’s important to put it on TV to let people know he’s here. He Being here, I think that’s what you’re doing. I think it’s a good thing. ”

Residents are concerned that he has not been identified by the police.

According to police, the man seems to be an elderly man between the ages of 40 and 50. He is “abnormally walking” and may drive a new model full-size sedan with a black color.
