Virginia Beach, Virginia (WAVY) — Virginia Beach students received a $ 1,000 scholarship from Bonnie Plant 3rd Grade Cabbage Program To grow 4 pounds of cabbage.

Timothy High Linen of the Atlantic Shores Christian School announced the winner of Virginia with a £ 4 cabbage entry.

Each student who participated received a starter OS cross variety Lessons needed to care for and grow cabbage plants and their plants. When fully grown, the student took a picture with the cabbage and submitted it for a chance to win.

“We are proud of all the participants this year and would like to congratulate Timothy for his efforts!” Said Angela Thomas, Corporate Communications Manager at Bonnie Plant.

Hyvarinen was selected by Bonnie Plants in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services, based on the student’s enthusiasm to participate and learn, as well as the size and overall appearance of the cabbage.

The program was reopened this year as a remote-controlled learning activity to bring education safely outdoors.
