Voting rights group stops in Nashville to push for national voter education, outreach campaign | News – Nashville-Davidson, Tennessee

Nashville, Tennessee (WSMV) – A group will stop by Nashville on Sunday to promote “increasing support for voting rights law” and establish black voting rights in major southern states.

Group BlackVotersMatter will meet on Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church Capitol Hill. Nashville events are part of a national tour. The focus of the Sunday event is “to educate voters and honor the life of the late Freedom Rider Kwamarirad.”

Cliff Albright, co-founder of Black Voters Matter, is expected to be one of the guest speakers.
