The following year, the date was reset to May 4, and a full-page ad appeared in London Evening News, published May 4, 1979, congratulating British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher.
“Maggie, may the fourth person be with you. Congratulations!” I read.
Since then, Star Wars fans have used this day to celebrate and celebrate distant galaxies.
