Las Vegas (KLAS) — This week’s Eight Points of Community Pride sheds proud light on Iraq war veteran Sgt. Patrick Parker or “Sergeant. Push-ups”, known for his efforts to help children during a pandemic.

This week, Sergeant performed 1,000 push-ups at the Three Square Food Bank to raise awareness and funding for childhood hunger.

“As a veteran, one of the things I want people to understand is not what you did. I served in Iraq and got two Bronze Stars from it, at that time. What are you doing today? “Sgt. Patrick Parker said. “And if we can’t help our children, who are we?”

He also wrote an anti-reproductive comic workbook, and his push of hunger has already earned over 365,000 meals for children across the United States.

Thank you for your service Sgt. Push up!
