Ward 5 community fair set for Oct. 14 with updates on wide variety of projects – Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas (KLAS) — A District 5 Information and Resources Fair is scheduled for Thursday, October 14th to highlight redevelopment efforts and road construction updates.

Las Vegas City Hall Council, 495 S. Main St. The community forum starts at 5 pm.

SilverSummit Healthplan offers COVID-19 vaccination from 5 pm to 8 pm at Now Café on the 2nd floor of the City Hall. No vaccination appointment is required. Bringing in is done on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cedric Clear, a member of the 5th ward assembly, hosts the fair.

Some of the topics discussed 100 running plans, Legacy parks, parks and recreational opportunities and plans, homeless courtyards and rest centers currently under construction, construction of District 5, public safety.

“I look forward to updating the Ward 5 community again for all the exciting projects and programs that are happening in our city,” said city councilman Claire. “Everyone is invited to virtually join us because of the safety and comfort of their home, or come to the city hall with their neighbors to see and hear in person and check out information and resource fairs.”

The forum will follow safety guidelines and additional precautions will be taken due to concerns about COVID-19 for those who participate directly, such as the need to wear the face cover of the building. The parking lot is the adjacent city hall parking lot 500 S. Main St. It is in. Those who bring a parking slip can be verified for free parking.
