Wichita, Kansas 2021-11-25 18:38:12 –
The main wind flow today was from the north, but we are beginning to see it heading west to the west / southwest. The wind tends to weaken tonight.
Overnight, we need to regain the flow south of the state. This will allow the temperature to recover quickly by the afternoon of Black Friday.
Early morning risers need to be layered as temperatures starting on Friday get colder in the 20s and 30s. We plan to return to the 1960s throughout the region on Friday afternoon.
Expect another wind shift on Saturday. Saturday afternoons will be warmer, and Sunday will be a little detour as highs reset to the 50s and 60s.
High pressures will be taken over early next week, temperatures will rise in the 1960s and mix in the 70s to the west.
There is another subtle wind shift from Tuesday evening to Wednesday. The warmth we got at the beginning of the week will be a little cold by Wednesday. This cycle repeats from next Thursday to Friday as the temperature warms up before the much stronger cold front. This front will arrive by next weekend. Moisture is scarce and nothing can boast of Kansas.
