Denver, Colorado 2021-07-28 08:58:23 –

Denver will be closer to an older record on Wednesday than Colorado itself. Forecasters predict that temperatures can reach 100 degrees Celsius, surpassing the existing daily record of 98 degrees Celsius set in 1876. Colorado joined the union a few days later on August 1, 1876.

According to the National Meteorological Service of Boulder, Denver will reach 99 degrees on Wednesday under clear skies. Thunderstorms occur at the top of the mountain, but metropolitan areas need to remain dry. Overnight temperatures drop to 68 degrees Celsius.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment expects Wednesday to be an unhealthy air day for everyone. Poor air quality affects the entire metropolitan area.
