Watermelon Mountain Ranch celebrates National Adoption Weekend – Albuquerque, New Mexico

Albuquerque, New Mexico (KRQE) – Watermelon Mountain Lunch Is New Mexico’s largest non-killing animal shelter in northern Rio Rancho. Since the gate was opened in 1996, more than 175,000 animals have been saved. This year, Petsmart is hosting a National Adoption Weekend. This event is a partnership with Petsmart Charity and Watermelon Mountain Ranch. Sarah Hefern, executive director of Watermelon Mountain Ranch, talked about the event and her furry friends.

The National Adoption Weekend will begin on Friday, July 23rd. Water Melon Lunch is available at 2 Petsmarts along with available pets. According to Hefern, there are dogs, cats, puppies and kittens available for adoption.
