Virginia Beach, Virginia (WAVY) — The Wegmans Food Market has partnered with local law enforcement agencies in several states to host local prescription drug drop-off events.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 23, from 10 am to 2 pm. Drop-off events provide community members with the opportunity to remove potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription medications from their homes.

This service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. 54 Wgman locations across 7 states will attend the event. This includes Virginia locations (Virginia Beach, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, Midlothian, Short Pump, etc.).

Only tablets and patches are accepted-liquids, needles, or sharp objects are not accepted.
