Wentzville, Moh (KMOV.com) –The flood-stricken Wentzville nursery has campaigned to replace everything that was destroyed.
Last week, one of the classroom doors at the Future Stars Academy was flooded, destroying everything inside. Water flowed into another room, damaging supplies. Currently, the nursery is soliciting donations after announcing the reopening date, but it needs to be postponed.
Furniture, games, toys and stuffed animals were some of the items given to the group. Repairs are taking place, but the process is taking longer than expected and owners say it is unlikely that they will be able to resume on time next Monday.
“We are doing everything we can to get here as soon as possible. We want to get our friends, family, staff and employees back,” said Assistant Director Amelia Van. Told. “But I’ve been watching for at least two more weeks. At this point, I’m sure you’ve heard that the electricity needs to be completely renewed. Fire Marshal needs to come out, and state licensees come out. We need to come and approve, we will resume too. “
Another donation campaign will take place on June 16th from 9am to 3pm. Temporary closures will affect approximately 70 students and their families.
