Parents who support the vaccine say that students already need to be immunized with 10 other serious illnesses to attend school in California, and believe this is no exception.

Meanwhile, parents who participate in the protest have not given up.

Social media posts have called for various protests in addition to getting children home from school. Thousands are expected to gather in the State Capitol.

Locally, the event is expected to occur outside the Fresno County Public Health Service.

In California, 85% of eligible residents receive at least one COVID vaccine. This shows that Governor Newsam has made the state the lowest seven-day case rate in the country.
