Tampa, Florida 2020-11-19 21:45:35 –

Dade City, Florida — The mother of Wesley Chapel, who is fighting breast cancer, has begun a new family tradition.

Jennifer Koszewnik and her family visited the Argle Christmas Tree Farm in Dade City. This is the first time the family has chosen a Christmas tree.

“I’m actually Jewish and we raise boys to Jewish. My husband grew up not Jewish, so it’s my first time to have a living tree or a Christmas tree,” Koszewnik said. Said.

Koszewnik said she was diagnosed with breast cancer in September. She turned 40 this week. She has already had surgery and will need chemotherapy next year.

She said she realized in 2020 that she would cherish her memories.

“We wanted to bring nature in, spend time with our families, and cherish what we value most: time together,” says Koszewnik.

For the past 35 years, customers have visited the Argle Christmas Tree Farm. Customers can choose from cutting down Florida Christmas trees or shipping fresh trees.

Tony Harris owns a farm with his wife Debbie. They said a cargo of trees from North Carolina arrived on Thursday.

The farm opened on Saturday, a week earlier than the previous year.

“Everyone wants to be happy right now, so I think it’s the way to build a Christmas tree,” said Tony Harris, owner of the Argle Christmas Tree Farm. “When you get a fresh Christmas tree, take it home and decorate it, everyone is around the tree. It’s a great celebration.”

Koszewnik said her family left with a tree and a gift of hope. Harris said his wife, Debbie, fought breast cancer about four years ago.

“I think this year really made us aware. It’s not about things, it’s about people and experiences,” she said.

The Argle Christmas Tree Farm is open 7 days a week from 9 am to 7 pm.
