Las Vegas (KLAS) – A pair of resorts in Las Vegas announced a new vaccine obligation for employees on Friday. Orders are for Westgate and Resorts World.
Westgate CEO David Seigel told staff in a memo that he survived the difficult battle with COVID-19 in July. He said he believed he would not be alive today if he had not been vaccinated.
Seigel also informed employees that vaccination certification will be required for all team members after October 15, 2021.
Resorts World announced similar rules on Friday, but it is not comprehensive. Starting Monday, all new employees will be required to have the COVID vaccine on both their hourly and salary requirements.
On Thursday, President Biden announced a radical new federal vaccine requirement that would force as many as 100 million Americans to vaccinate with COVID-19 or risk losing their jobs.
