Wichita, Kang (KSNW) -Judge sentenced a 37-year-old Wichita man to his role in a drunk driving accident that killed a woman in eastern Wichita.
The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office has announced that Jeremy Clouder will spend five years in prison. On May 5, he pleaded guilty to unwilling manslaughter between drunk driving and a two-count worse battery.
March 19, 2019, Clauder’s southbound GMC Denali emitted a red light and struck the eastbound Honda CRV at Kellogg and Webbroad.Wichita’s Yvonne Recchio, 57, was in the backseat of Honda.. She died on the scene. A Honda driver and another passenger, the husband of the deceased, were injured and taken to the hospital.
Police on the scene sniffed alcohol with a crowder and conducted an outdoor drinking test. Later studies showed that his blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.
