Las Vegas (KLAS) — A barking cold wind tore the valley of Las Vegas all night, causing some damage and numerous power outages.

The National Meteorological Service recorded gusts of up to 68 mph on Monday in some parts of the valley.

As of 6 am, NV Energy reports about 400 customers without electricity. But at some point on Monday, there was an outage affecting as many as 11,000 customers.

Strong winds have caused several trees, including this one, to fall in the parking lot of Channel 8 on KLAS-TV. If you have wind damage or fallen trees, please share your photos and videos to pix@8newsnow.com.

The wind also caused some major delays at McCarran International Airport and caused damage at Resorts World Casino when the ramp fell into the car.

The strong wind warning expired at 5 am on Tuesday, but gusts up to 40 mph keep the wind stronger and cooler than normal.
