Nashville, Tennessee (WSMV)-A woman was charged with assault after threatening a metro police officer and trying to catch him in the car.

Metro police officer Corey Stratton said he heard a woman sitting in a parking lot south of 8th Avenue screaming. As the screams grew louder, Stratton saw Amy Ditchkowski walking south on the sidewalk. Stratton reversed the cruiser and increased the space for women to pass through. Instead, Dobrzykowski turned around and started walking towards the cops.

When Stratton tried to talk to Ditchkowski, she shouted, “Mom, let’s take you!” According to court documents. Dobrzykowski rushed through the open window, grabbed the cop and began scratching.

After Stratton and another officer were able to detain Ditchkowski, she continued to resist, scratching Stratton’s right wrist and leaving a small abrasion. Throughout the incident, Ditchkowski continued to shout that he intended to cut the struts.
