Las Vegas (KLAS) — A 53-year-old woman who collided with a parked car in South Valley on June 9 was injured and died, according to the Clark County Coroner office.
Metropolitan Police E. Lillian Edwards in Las Vegas. Identified as a woman involved in an accident at E. Richmar Avenue, just north of the intersection of Silverado Ranch Boulevard and Bermuda Road. Edwards died at the University Medical Center on June 10, according to a Metro news release.
The crash happened around 10am
Police said Edwards was driving the 2019 Dodge Charger “at high speed” and couldn’t stop because of a stop sign. The charger passed through the intersection and entered the Copper Creek apartment complex, where it collided behind the 2002 Hyundai Accent parked there.
Both vehicles collided with the apartment building before resting. Edwards was seriously injured and was transferred to UMC.
The clash remains under investigation by the Clash Investigation Section of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
