Winchester, KentuckyLEX 18)-Almost three weeks after she was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19, Wendy Moore (53) is still struggling to breathe.

“It scares me,” Moore said. “I’m starting to worry about my health and what happens.”

Prior to her diagnosis, Moore was not worried about getting the virus. She wasn’t interested in getting vaccinated either.

“I never leave home, but I never go to promises,” she said. “So the fact that I caught it, we were just shocked.”

Moore believes that one of his four grandchildren living with his daughter and son-in-law may have been infected with COVID-19.

She said her health deteriorated rapidly.

“I slept all the time, but my oxygen levels continued to drop,” she recalled. “”[My daughter] I decided I needed to go to the hospital. “

After she was admitted to the Clark Community Medical Center in Kentucky, Moore was given a combination drug and, most importantly, was able to avoid being ventilated.

Moore thought he was around the corner after leaving the hospital, but his dyspnea recurred.

“Now I need [my oxygen] I’m starting to run out of breath again. “

While isolated, Moore spent a lot of time looking back and thinking about the future. I wish she had been vaccinated with her daughter and son-in-law. When the virus spread to their homes, they were the only two who did not get sick.

“I was definitely wrong,” she said when asked about the vaccine. “I’m definitely going to take [the vaccine] now. “
