Sacramento (CBS13) – Black Lives Matter’s Sacramento branch is being sued by a woman in Texas, she says.

CBS13 sat down with Karra Crowley at Loughlin’s law firm and asked about an email sent to BLM in her name.

“I was shocked. I couldn’t believe it completely,” Crawley said.

Last week, Black Lives Matter Sacramento received a racist email claiming that whites were called “kings” and that Crawley “always taught children to fear African Americans.” Crowley says the email isn’t from her, despite the account handle.

“Never, and I don’t believe it,” she said.

BLM Sacramento used Facebook to post nasty emails, collect hundreds of likes, and provoke a backlash on social media.

To publish Tanya Faison, the founder of Black Lives Matter Sacramento, the person behind the account, she continued to write about Crowley, “Her information has been confirmed.”

“She knew my company’s PO Box and phone number,” said Crowley, who claims to have asked Faison to delete the post.

“Kara wrote to them and said this wasn’t me. They should have pulled it down. They refused,” said Crawley’s lawyer Jeff Oklachi.

“The real goal is to get rid of this trash from the internet and have BLM apologize for what they did,” says Ocrash.

Phison did not return our request for comment, but other local activists say they have received such a nasty message before.

“The majority of our activists … these nasty emails that we are constantly threatened with murder,” says Berry Accius, the founder of Sacramento’s Voice of the Youth.

“Many people use fake identities. We have to deal with such rhetoric and such poisons. Many of us don’t react to it,” Accius said. It was.

Crowley and her lawyer say Google will prove that the message doesn’t belong to her after tracking the IP address of the account.

CBS13 contacted Tanya Phison, the founder of Sacramento’s Black Lives Matter branch, but did not receive an immediate response.
