Hunter Levis, 20, was arrested after pursuing his foot and charged with attempted murder and robbery.

Vancouver, WA (KOIN) —Police arrested a 20-year-old man in Vancouver on Friday afternoon accused of stabbing a woman in her neck.

Shortly after 2:00 pm, shortly after an employee reported that she had been attacked by a stranger and lost her neck, officers rushed to Retriever Towing, block 6600 on E.18th Street.

When police arrived, they noticed that the victim was “severely stabbed in the neck,” Vancouver police said. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and was in a stable condition.

Investigators said the suspect was caught in a video of standing behind the victim, taking out a knife and adjusting the angle before piercing his neck.

The suspect, identified by police as Hunter Levy, was seen fleeing the area after the attack. Police immediately set boundaries and began searching for the suspect using the K9 and drone.

Witnesses shared information and video that the suspect had stripped his clothes and was hiding in the company to avoid being caught. The officer eventually found him near Burton and E.18th Street, and after a short foot chase, he was arrested and arrested.

Police said police were slightly injured during the chase.

Levi was put in jail in Clark County for robbery and attempted murder.
