A 32-year-old Heather Nessler was arrested after stealing a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) car during a traffic outage in St. Charles County on Saturday.




Just before 7 pm, police said the 32-year-old Heather Nessler was arrested near the I-70 and Brian Road and put on an MSHP police car. After that, Nessler boarded the driver’s seat and took off.

Later, the police car was found left behind in the parking lot of the American Military Association on West Ridge Road in O’Fallon. St. Charles County police brought their helicopter and K9 unit in search of her. The policeman arrested her after a while.

Nessler’s MSHP arrest report shows what she wanted in some jurisdictions for five or more crimes. She wanted St. Charles because she didn’t show up because of possession and theft of controlled drugs. She is also being sought by the O’Fallon police for traffic violations. Lincoln County has a warrant for her failure to appear and a warrant for theft, trespassing, and failure by Troy police.
