Woodbury man dies in shooting in Minneapolis – Twin Cities

The 25-year-old victim who was shot in Minneapolis on Wednesday was identified as Mohammed Abdirasak Ahmed of Woodbury.

According to the Hennepin County Coroner, Ahmed died from multiple gunshot wounds. His death was sentenced to murder.

Around 9:30 pm, Minneapolis police responded to reports of firing at 3500 blocks on 19th Avenue South.

A police officer arrived and found Ahmed on the ground and unresponsive. Life-saving measures were taken, but he was declared dead on the scene by ambulance personnel.

According to police, preliminary investigations revealed that Ahmed was likely shot by someone he knew, based on on-site evidence.

No arrests have been made.
