Thousands of police officers from all over the country are expected to line up on the street in honor of the Familia. The city has opened a polar park to allow people to view the service, as authorities expect 5,000 to 10,000 officers.

With his awakening on Wednesday, the steady flow of police officers, firefighters, first responders and Worcester residents paid tribute to the Familia at the St. John’s Catholic Church.

Many roads will be closed at 8 am in preparation for carrying Familia’s body from the Mercadante Funeral Home and Chapel on Plantation Street to St. John’s Church on Temple Street.

The funeral procession begins around 9am to St. Johns and service begins at 10am. After the service, the procession escorts the body of the Familia officer to the St. John’s Cemetery. Burial is private.
