Las Vegas (KLAS) — Workers in the Nevada Legislative Building were notified on Wednesday that Carson City Building workers were tested positive for COVID-19.
According to a memo from Lisa Lang with the Legislative Advisory Board, the Department of Health and Human Services is doing contact tracing to notify anyone who may have been in close contact with that person.
The memo states that workers “need to keep a close watch on their health for abnormal or unexplained symptoms.” It also reminds employees that “your actions and choices outside of working hours affect the people around you in the building.”
To enter the building, workers need to do the following:
- Please complete the health checkup questionnaire before entering the legislature
- Wear a face mask whenever you are not alone in your office
- Keep a reasonable distance of at least 6 feet from others while in the building
- Improve hand hygiene
Workers are advised to get the free COVID-19 vaccine at the mobile site across the street if they do not have the COVID-19 vaccine.
