The U.S. Census Bureau predicts that the world population will exceed 7.9 billion on New Year’s Day announcedThis means that after New Year’s Day 2022, the world’s population will increase by almost 1%, or more than 73 million people.
The Census Bureau also predicts that there will be 4.3 births and 2 deaths per second worldwide in January.
The agency also made estimates for the US population, predicting that the national population will exceed 334 million on New Year’s Day.
According to the agency, there will be one birth in the United States every nine seconds and one death every 10 seconds in January.
Also, every 32 seconds, international migration is expected to add 1 person to the US population.
Combining births, deaths, and international migration, the United States can expect to add one person to its population every 27 seconds, according to the Census Bureau.
