Milwaukee, Wisconsin 2021-10-27 15:18:13 –

After more than 90 years of Green Bay Packers football on WTMJ Radio, the station and Packers Radio Network said goodbye, the team announced Wednesday.

WTMJ will no longer be a Packers Milwaukee Radio Broadcasting Company.

“I’m disappointed with the Packers decision, but I’m grateful for the long-standing partnership with the team,” said Steve Wechsler, VP / Market Manager at GKB Milwaukee. “I am honored to be a packer brand steward. We look forward to continuing to provide sports fans and marketing partners with a new era of football content. We will continue to support packers for the next few years.”

Packers have been heard on WTMJ since 1929. WTMJ Radio will continue to broadcast the game this season.

“Packers has long valued our partnership with WTMJ and always respects our franchise history,” said Craig Benzel, Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Packers.

iHeartRadio’s The Game 97.3 will be a Milwaukee affiliate of Packers from the 2022 season.
