Kansas City, Missouri — The County Commission of Wyandotte County, Kansas / Kansas City has allowed the health order to expire and the mask obligations to end.
Wyandot County was the last county in the state to abolish masking obligations.
The health order is due to expire at 11:59 pm on Friday, but the county is still suffering from COVID-19 vaccination rates.
Only 32.7% of the population have received a single injection and 27.1% have completed vaccination.
Health ministry officials recommend that unvaccinated or weakened people wear masks while indoors.
