Kansas City, Kansas (KCTV) — The unified government of the Wyandotte County Council will allow health orders to expire at midnight Thursday.
Wyandotte County was the last county in Kansas to require masks.
The order expires at midnight.
A vote was held to extend the order for another 30 days. Two commissioners voted in favor of the order, and seven commissioners voted against the extension.
This decision was based on information provided by health authorities.
Approximately 27% of Wyandot County residents are fully vaccinated, but only over 30% are vaccinated once.
Commissioners and health officials say wearing masks indoors is still strongly recommended.
