(CNN) — According to court documents obtained by CNN, Grammy Award-winning rapper Young Thug was nominated in a 56-count gang indictment.
Jeffrey Lamar Williams, who plays Young Sag, was arrested at his home in Atlanta on Monday, police said. He was imprisoned in a Fulton County prison and charged with plotting and participating in criminal street gang activities in violation of the Racketeer Impacted and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
According to the indictment, Williams, along with 27 employees of the company Young Slime Life, “Illegal acquisition of money and property through patterns of swaying activities and patterns of swaying activities.”
Among Williams’ alleged companions nominated in the indictment is Ganna, a rapper whose real name is Sergio Kitchen. According to the indictment, Kitchen has also been charged with a plot that violates RICO. As of Tuesday morning, police said the kitchen had not been detained by police.
In the indictment, the prosecutor said Williams and two other defendants alleged that they established the gang YSL in late 2012 and are affiliated with Bloods gangs nationwide.
Other suspects at the YSL company have been accused of violent crimes in indictments, including murder, exacerbated assault with deadly weapons, and armed robbery. The alleged crime dates back to 2013 as early as 2013.
In a statement to the CNN-affiliated WSB, Williams lawyer Brian Steele said, “The response to every allegation is that Mr Williams has never committed a crime and will fight to the last drop to wipe him out.” ..
Williams will appear in court on Tuesday, according to Sheriff Fulton County spokesman Tracy Flanagan.
